Cairo Airport authorities have, on Wednesday evening, arrested Wahba Mohamed Ibrahim Hassan, brother of Islamic preacher Mohamed Hassan, before traveling to Morocco as his name was on the list of travel ban.
Hassan had an arrest warrant issued against him to implement rulings sentencing him to prison over bad checks, said Assistant Interior Minister for Airport Security Alaa Eddin Ali.
Hassan was working for al-Rahma Channel and was heading to Casablanca in Morocco, he added.
Hassan would be handed over to the Public Security Sector to implement the jail sentences against him, said Ali.
