Where and when to watch Egypt vs. Australia at the 2026 World Cup

The highly awaited match between Egypt and Australia in the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup is scheduled for next Friday, July 3, at nine pm Cairo and Mecca time.

The match will be held at AT&T Stadium in Texas, US.

The journey so far

The Egyptian national football team, led by coach Hossam Hassan, officially qualified for the Round of 32 after finishing second in Group G with five points, behind Belgium on goal difference.

Egypt defeated New Zealand and drew against both Iran and Belgium in the group stage, securing their place in the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup.

The Australian national team qualified for the same round, after coming as runner-up in the Group D standings, with four points behind the US from a win against Turkey, a loss against the US and a draw against Paraguay.

The 2026 World Cup, currently being held in the US, Mexico, and Canada. the 23rd edition of the tournament, kicked off on June 11th and will run until July 19th, featuring 48 teams for the first time in its history.
