Surgeons at Al-Zahraa University Hospital have succeeded in removing a 10 kg tumor from a patient's abdomen, according to Dr. Hana Abdallah Hassan, dean of Al-Azhar University’s Girls Faculty of Medicine.
“The hospital offers excellent medical services free of charge,” she said, adding that the operation took two hours, and that the tumor was sent to the laboratories to determine if it is benign or malignant. “The patient’s condition is stable.”
Dr. Sayed Mostafa, head of general surgery at Al-Azhar University’s Girls Faculty of Medicine, said the hospital has successfully conducted complicated surgeries before for patients who had lost hope in life.
