Head of the security room in Zuwarah City in Libya, Muammar al-Hafez, announced the arrest of an Egyptian fishing boat carrying 15 illegal fishermen in Libyan territorial waters.
Muammar added in a press statement on Tuesday that the coast guards at the Libyan port of Zuwarah stopped an Egyptian fishing boat in Libyan territorial waters. The fishermen did not have prior permission from concerned Libyan authorities, he mentioned.
The boat attempted to escape, but coastal guards forced it to head to Zuwarah seaport, according to Muammar.
The case will be dealt with in accordance with Libyan law, he pointed out.
