Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu arrived at the Cairo International Airport Monday evening, heading a delegation of Russian senior officials for a two-day visit to Cairo.
Shoigu will meet with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to discuss military cooperation between Egypt and Russia.
Egypt's Defense and Military Production Minister Sedqi Sobhi, some senior Egyptian officials, as well as Russian diplomats, received the Russian delegation at the Cairo airport.
The Russian delegation will discuss military cooperation between Egypt and Russia, as well as the latest developments in Syria, Libya and Yemen and current terror threats.
