The number of victims from a collapsed textile factory incident in Alexandria has increased to 11 deaths and ten injured. A civil defense team was able to retrieve four bodies from under the ruins.
Around 50 workers were inside the six-storey factory located in Moharram Bek, east of Alexandria, when it collapsed amid bad weather conditions and torrential rains witnessed throughout Egypt’s northern coasts.
The civil defense team is continuing their efforts to rescue the remaining victims.
The general prosecution in Alexandria has begun investigations and the factory's owner has been summoned to determine his liability.
