Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry arrived on Saturday in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg within a delegation grouping the leaders of a joint African initiative for settling the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
Madblouly leads the Egyptian delegation on behalf of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
The joint African initiative includes the heads state of South Africa, Senegal, the Comoros, Uganda, Zambia, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, alongside Egypt.
The African delegation is scheduled to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin to review the joint African initiative.
On Friday, the delegation held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, that was followed by a joint press conference.
