Youth and Sports Minister Ashraf Sobhy said sporting infrastructure has been largely upgraded under the rule of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
The minister’s remarks came on Saturday 18/05/2024 at a ceremony to inaugurate an integrated project of the youth development center in Cairo’s First Settlement district.
The minister was accompanied by Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal, President of the Egyptian Olympic Committee Yaser Edris, lawmakers and a host of senior officials.
Such great development in the sports domain contributed to helping Egypt host several continental and international championships, the minister said.
The Youth Ministry said in a statement that the project has been established over an area of 12,000 square meters at EGP 258-million investments.
For his part, the Cairo governor extended thanks to the youth minister over his great efforts to develop sporting and youth institutions nationwide.
