President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stressed on Sunday 7/7/2024 that Egypt will spare no effort to close Sudanese ranks, end the war and ensure return of stability and security.
Sisi made the remarks during his meeting with a Sudanese delegation representing the Sudanese political and civil powers that took part in a conference in Cairo on Saturday. The conference was attended by Foreign and Migration Affairs Minister Badr Abdel Aati, Intelligence chief Abbas Helmi in addition to representatives of the UAE, Qatar, South Sudan, Germany, the AU, the UN, the Arab League and the ambassadors of France, UK, Norway, EU and Saudi Arabia in Cairo.
Presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmi said Sisi expressed his appreciation for the participants’ quick response to the Egyptian invitation to hold this important conference held under the slogan “Together to Stop the War” as it comes at a very critical stage through which brotherly Sudan is going through which requires creating an appropriate atmosphere to unify the visions of the Sudanese parties towards ways to stop the war.
President Sisi underlined the need to step up attempts to reach a comprehensive political solution that materializes the aspirations of the Sudanese people and ends the deep multi-dimensional crisis Sudan is experiencing given its disastrous repercussions on various political, social and humanitarian levels.
