Electricity Minister Mahmoud Esmat discussed on Thursday with UAE Investment Minister Mohamed Alsuwaidi ways of enhancing partnership and investments in the electricity and renewable energy domains.
In a statement, the Electricity Ministry said Esmat lauded deeply-rooted relations binding Egypt with the UAE, saying there is fruitful cooperation and successful partnerships with the UAE companies operating in the energy domain.
He added that all measures were taken to encourage the private sector to engage in new and renewable energy projects, mainly wind and solar energy projects.
He reiterated commitment to iron out all hurdles blocking investments.
