PM reviews progress of new development projects in Benha

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly toured several development sites in Benha during his visit to the Qalyubiya Governorate, including the new Benha Armed Forces Club and Hotel and the Mamsha Ahl Masr (Promenade of the People of Egypt).

At the Armed Forces Club, located on the Nile, Madbouly inspected various components of the complex, which is designed to serve both civilians and military personnel.

The facility includes guest rooms, restaurants, cafés, swimming pools, gyms, sports courts, children’s play zones, and event halls.

Officials have confirmed that the venue will soon open, providing social, recreational, and hospitality services to the city’s residents and visitors.

The Prime Minister also inspected progress at the Mamsha Ahl Masr project in Benha, a two-kilometer promenade developed to enhance the city’s Nile riverfront.

Three sectors of the promenade, A, B, and C, have already been completed. These sections feature paved walkways, shaded rest areas, kiosks, green spaces, and seating, while the fourth and final sector (D), extending 750 meters, is under construction.

Work on sector D includes embankment stabilization, foundations, and landscaping. Once finished, it will add more green areas, recreational spaces, and direct visual access to the Nile.

The promenade is expected to serve as a major urban attraction, offering a safe and accessible space for leisure, community activity, and local commerce.

Officials also noted that the government is developing a similar Mamsha in Qanater al-Khayriya, featuring pedestrian paths, greenery, children’s play zones, commercial spaces, and dining areas designed to reflect the visual identity of Qalyubia Governorate.
