Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita affirmed during a phone call on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, the strength of bilateral historical relations and the development they are witnessing across various political, economic and trade fields.
The phone call came within the framework of periodic consultation and coordination between the two sisterly nations, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
The two foreign ministers emphasized their shared keenness to continue advancing partnership in various political, economic and investment domains in a way that serves shared interests.
They also discussed the ongoing preparations for the joint high committee, set to be attended by the prime ministers of both countries and would contribute to boosting joint cooperation and achieving mutual benefits.
Abdelatty and Bourita exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues, emphasizing the importance of proceeding with joint coordination and consultation in a way that helps support regional security and stability and strengthen joint Arab and African action in addressing current challenges.
