Foreign minister, US President’s senior advisor discuss Lebanon developments

Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the US President for Arab and African Affairs, discussed by phone Friday developments in Lebanon and regional military escalation.

Abdelatty condemned repeated Israeli attacks as a blatant violation of Lebanese sovereignty and UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

He emphasized Egypt’s firm rejection of any infringement on Lebanon’s territorial integrity or the safety of its people, noting that such aggression undermines regional stability.

The Minister reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to supporting Lebanese state institutions and the army in asserting authority over all national territory.

He also highlighted ongoing efforts to mobilize aid and intensify diplomatic moves to halt the escalation.

Boulos praised Egypt’s pivotal role in containing the situation and supporting Lebanese institutions, underscoring the importance of continued coordination between the two nations.
