
Minister of Culture Gihane Zaki stressed the importance of expanding cultural cooperation between Egypt and Islamic countries during her visit to Kazan.
Zaki took part in the 14th Conference of Culture Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, held under the theme “Dialogue of Civilizations.”
She also attended the opening ceremony of “Kazan Capital of Islamic Culture 2026” and participated in the Russia-Islamic World Economic Forum.
During the visit, the minister held meetings with international officials to discuss cooperation in culture, arts, museums, cinema, literature, and youth activities.
Zaki also met Rustam Minnikhanov to discuss cultural and tourism cooperation between Egypt, Tatarstan, and Russia.
She said Egypt is working to strengthen cultural ties through joint workshops, artistic exchanges, literature, and film cooperation.
