President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Saturday, July 04, 2026, praised the longstanding cooperation between Egypt and Russia, expressing appreciation to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his support of major development projects.
Speaking after inaugurating Egypt’s State Strategic Command headquarters in the New Capital, Sisi said the coming days will witness the installation of the reactor pressure vessel for the second nuclear unit at the Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant, one of the flagship projects of the strategic partnership between Egypt and Russia.
The President said the Dabaa plant would make a significant contribution to sustainable development by providing clean energy for investment projects and essential public services.
