Nour Party Assistant President Nader Bakar said Islam Beheiry adapts the Quran according to his own whims, as does IS to justify violence with certain verses of the Quran.
Baker wrote on Facebook that the issue is not in rejecting modernization, but rather in defining who is qualified to call for modernization.
He added that Beheiry’s poor knowledge of the Arabic language, his illogical thinking, his insolence and his megalomania all allow him to interpret the heritage as he pleases.
