British airline returns flights to Egypt’s Hurghada

The International Hurghada Airport has received the low-cost British carrier EasyJet’s flight coming from the Italian city Milan on Sunday after the carrier had suspended flights to Egypt since 2015.

According to sources in the Egyptian Airports Company (EAC), the carrier would operate two flights a week from Milan to Hurghada and vice versa on Sundays and Wednesdays.

The sources added that thousands of Italian holidaymakers would use the low-cost flights operated by the carrier to spend their holidays on the Red Sea’s beaches.

EasyJet airlines carrier cancelled all flights to Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada in November 2015 in the wake of the Russian plane bombing by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Sinai on October 31, killing all 224 passengers on board.
