
A delegation from the Ministry of Education, headed by Education Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif, took part in the 2026 Education World Forum (EWF 2026) held in London from May 17 to 20 under the theme “Strong, Sustainable and Inclusive Education.”
The forum is considered the world’s largest annual gathering of education and skills ministers and is organized with support from the UK government and the British Council.
During the forum, Abdel Latif delivered a speech on preparing education systems for future challenges, reviewing Egypt’s efforts to modernize education through digital skills, technical education development, and wider access to quality learning.
On the sidelines of the forum, the minister held meetings with several international education officials, including counterparts from Azerbaijan, South Africa, and the UK, to discuss future cooperation and exchange expertise in education and vocational training.
The ministry also announced a proposed partnership with the British Council and Estyn to support school evaluation systems and improve education quality in Egypt.
