Egypt seeks stronger cooperation with Netherlands- FM

Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said that Egypt is looking to expand cooperation with the Netherlands across several sectors.

During a meeting, Tuesday, May 5, 2026, with Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Reinette Klever, he said that relations between the two countries continue to grow, with opportunities in trade, investment, infrastructure, agriculture, technology, and digital transformation.

Abdelatty called for more Dutch investment in Egypt, especially in major projects and economic zones, hailing the current joint cooperation in water management, education, and migration.

He also said Egypt is interested in expanding trilateral cooperation with the Netherlands in Africa, drawing on its experience in development and capacity building.

The Dutch minister stated that her country values Egypt’s role in supporting regional stability and is keen to deepen bilateral ties.
