Egypt has condemned in the strongest terms the heinous attacks by missiles and drones targeting the territory of the UAE, which resulted in a fire at an oil facility in the emirate of Fujairah and left a number of individuals injured.
In a statement issued on Monday, May 4, 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates affirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with the UAE and support for the measures it is taking to protect its resources and sovereignty. Cairo also categorically rejects any actions aimed at terrorizing civilians or destabilizing the Arab Gulf region.
Egypt warned of the extremely serious consequences of these attacks, stressing that they represent a dangerous escalation that undermines efforts to calm and de-escalate tensions and constitute a blatant violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
