Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone call on Sunday to discuss rapid regional developments within the framework of close coordination between the two countries.
The two ministers praised the deep fraternal ties and bilateral relations between Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.They also discussed developments related to the course of negotiations between the United States and Iran, with Abdelatty stressing the importance of prioritizing the diplomatic track as the only option for resolving outstanding issues and sparing the region the risks of a wider conflict.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister expressed hope that diplomatic efforts would lead to an agreement that would end the war and pave the way for restoring regional security and stability.
Abdelatty also stressed the need for any future agreement to take into account the security concerns of Gulf countries in a manner that preserves Arab national security and achieves stability in the region.
