Egyptian actor Fady Elsayed stars in Netflix fantasy series “Kaos”

Egyptian-British actor Fady Elsayed has joined the cast of the British fantasy series “Kaos” for Netflix, which announced a release date of early 2024.

This marks Elsayed’s latest English project after starring as the character ‘Faz’ in the second season of the series “Gangs of London.”

“Kaos” is a modern-day depiction of Greek mythology, which follows six people discover the connection of their destinies through an ancient prophecy.

It co-stars Debi Mazar, who portrays Medusa, and is written by English writer Charlie Covell, the author of the “The End of The F***ing World” black-comedy series.

A fast-rising star

Elsayed appeared in his first starring role in the movie “My Brother the Devil,” (2012) for which he was nominated for the Best Rising British Talent Award at the London Film Festival.

He would go on to make a name for himself in the international scene, starring in “Penny Dreadful” featuring Eva Green, “Class,” a spin-off of the beloved science-fiction series “Doctor Who,” and “River” starring Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård.

One of his bigger roles was in the movie “A Private War” (2018) starring Rosamund Pike and directed by Matthew Hinman, in addition to the Danish movie “Daniel” (2019) with director Niels Arden Oplev.

He recently participated in the series “Baghdad Central” and “Little Birds.”
