Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a phone call on Monday, Aug 3, 2026, with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani to discuss the latest regional developments and ways to further strengthen bilateral relations.
The two ministers stressed the need to step up efforts to contain regional tensions, prevent further escalation, and create conducive conditions for the resumption of political and diplomatic efforts to resolve regional crises.
The phone call came as part of ongoing consultation and coordination between Egypt and Bahrain on bilateral relations and regional developments.
They also underscored the importance of upholding international law, safeguarding the security and safety of international navigation, and ensuring freedom of navigation through international waterways in a manner that preserves regional security and stability.
The ministers reaffirmed the importance of maintaining close coordination and consultation between the two countries and building on the growing momentum in Egypt-Bahrain relations to advance joint Arab action.
