CAIRO, April 20 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held phone calls on Monday with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Albusaidi, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss regional developments and efforts to contain tensions.
The discussions included an exchange of views on negotiations between the United States and Iran, with emphasis on the importance of continued coordination to ensure the success of diplomatic efforts, the foreign ministry said in a statement.
Abdelatty stressed that advancing negotiations is essential to reaching concrete understandings that help maintain the ceasefire, reduce escalation, and end the war.
The ministers agreed that diplomatic solutions and dialogue remain the only path to resolving conflicts and avoiding further instability in the region. (MENA)
