Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Soha Gendy announced the procedures that should be followed by Egyptians abroad to vote in the 2024 presidential election.
In a recorded speech aired on Friday 03/11/2023, the minister said the voter should go to the nearby embassy or consulate in the country where he/she lives and present the national ID card or valid passport to make sure that he/she is registered in the voter database.
She added the registered voter will get a ballot paper in which he/she will select the preferred candidate before signing in the electoral roll.
Voting in Egypt will take place on 10-12 December, with Egyptians abroad casting their votes on 1-3 December.
