Five million trees to be planted across governorates in Egypt

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly witnessed, on Wednesday, the signing ceremony of two contracts, between the Ministry of Local Development, the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, and the Ministry of State for Military Production, to supply of five million trees targeted to be planted across governorates.

The contracts come under an initiative aimed at planting 100 million trees in the governorates in order to improve air quality, maintain public health, and achieve economic benefit.

The first joint agreement between the Ministry of Local Development and the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation stipulates that the Agriculture Ministry will supply 1.3 million trees to the Ministry of Local Development, while the second contract stipulates that the Ministry of State for Military Production will supply 3.7 million trees to the Ministry of Local Development.

 

This is all in accordance to technical specifications and specific qualities, including that each tree is between one and 1.5 meters high.
