Health Minister discusses means to boost cooperation to export medicine, medical cosmetics to Africa

Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar has conferred with Board Chairman of the Egyptian Federation of Investors Associations (EFIA) Moharam Helal and his accompanying delegation on means to boost cooperation in exporting medicines and medical cosmetics to African countries.

In statements on Friday 15/03/2024, Spokesman for the Health Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said that the minister urged the members of the EFIA to form a workgroup with some African countries to visit Arab Company for Drug Industries and Medical Appliances (ACDIMA) and stand on their huge exporting abilities.

The minister asserted the importance of investments in the health sector to expand the health services presented to citizens and increase the investments in the infrastructure of the health sector, pointing out to the investment incentives approved recently by the cabinet that aim at expanding the establishment of and renovation of hospitals and health units to guarantee the quality of health services presented to the citizens in all the governorates, the spokesman said.

The minister was apprised of a proposal of the EFIA to renovate one of the family health units in Menoufia, the spokesman said, adding that the minister gave directives to present all kinds of logistic support to renovate the unit which present its services to 17,410 citizens in the different medical specializations.
