
Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid Saleh confirmed Egypt’s commitment to building an integrated economic partnership with Belarus focused on trade, investment, and technology transfer.
He highlighted the importance of strengthening institutional and technical cooperation between the Egyptian and Belarusian commodities exchanges.
This came during his visit to the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange in Minsk while chairing the Egyptian-Belarusian Joint Committee meetings.
Farid discussed with Belarusian Commodity Exchange Board Chairman Alexander Osmolovsky technical coordination and expertise exchange in electronic trading, commodity information, and platform management practices.
He stated that talks covered supporting business communication and institutional frameworks to boost trade, noting Egypt’s potential as a regional hub for logistics and re-export services.
Osmolovsky expressed Belarus’s aspiration for a sustainable partnership and readiness to transfer knowledge in digital platforms and electronic trading to enhance bilateral economic cooperation.
