Egyptian ceramics maker Lecico said on Thursday the workers' strike at its Khorshid plants in Alexandria, which had caused a nine-day halt of the firm's sanitary ware and tile factory operations there, has now ended.
"All factories in Khorshid returned to full production from the morning of Thursday 4th of August," Lecico said in a statement.
The Khorshid plants account for 30 percent of Lecico's sanitary ware production and 74 percent of its tile production.
Lecico was among firms hit by labor unrest after the uprising that ousted former president Hosni Mubarak. It negotiated a "significant" pay rise for workers in February, it said at the time.
Lecico, which has significant sales in Britain and other European markets, said a new tiles plant it is building near Alexandria should bring its tile production in August back to previous levels.
