Egyptian military sources reported that Apache helicopters launched an airstrike on an Ansar Bayt Al-Maqdis terrorist cell south of Sheikh Zuweid
and killed five militants.
The sources told the German DPA news agency that the militants were driving a truck carrying an anti-aircraft gun.
Seven militants of the same terrorist group were killed on Sunday by army troops in raids launched in Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid.
Security sources said that Apache helicopters launched several air strikes in the cities after information was received about potential actions by extremists.
A house and a motorbike belonging to the militants were destroyed.
Meanwhile, security services arrested 33 fugitives involved in several lawsuits, in addition to 93 suspects.
