Former President Hosni Mubarak, who was ousted in February and has been detained in Sharm el-Sheikh International Hospital, has fallen into a coma, his lawyer said on Sunday.
Deeb told Al-Masry Al-Youm that Mubarak's health deteriorated suddenly and that he suffered a heart attack and a stroke.
According to Deeb, all efforts to save the former president’s life are now being taken.
Deeb went on to say that the Mubarak’s wife Suzanne is by his side and that he was on his way to Cairo International Airport to board the next plane for Sharm el-Sheikh.
