Egyptian newspapers recorded a 13.6 percent drop in their domestic and foreign distribution during 2014 with 655 million copies delivered, down from 758.2 million in 2013, according to a government report by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics.
“The number of newspapers publishing during 2014 reached 80, the same number as the previous year,” said a CAMPAS report.
Papers issued by political parties saw a slight increase, changing from seven in 2013 to eight in 2014, CAPMAS said.
