One killed as Central Security attack protesters at cabinet building

One person was killed when Central Security forces attacked a sit-in in front of the cabinet building in the early hours of Saturday.

Ahmad Sorour died after being run over by a Central Security vehicle. Another protester was hit by a bullet.

Hundreds of revolutionary youth, most of whom were sleeping, were encircled by at least seven Central Security vehicles.

The protesters asked the security personnel to move backward but they refused, and the protesters began throwing stones and attempted to set one of the vehicles on fire. Security forces launched tear gas at them before retreating.

The protesters chanted “The people want to bring down Field Marshal,” “The Interior Ministry are thugs,” and “Down with the rule of the military.” They warned Prime Minister Kamal al-Ganzouri against entering the cabinet headquarters on the blood of the protesters.
