Commuters on the Ring Road spent four hours jammed on Tuesday morning after a truck-trailer crashed into six other cars near al-Remaya Square and the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Traffic diversions were made to ease traffic.
The General Traffic Directorate announced that it cleared the road from the remnants of the accident, and traffic returned to normal.
A man was injured during the collision, which slowed the movement of vehicles in the direction coming from al-Wahat Road towards Mariouteya. The injured has been transferred to nearby hospital for treatment.
