The public funds prosecution has suspended all investigations into the illegal reallocation of natural oil reserves by deposed President Hosni Mubarak and his officials.
In November, lawyer Ibrahim al-Salamouni filed a report accusing Mubarak, former Petroleum Minister Sameh Fahmy and others of allowing Israel to seize two oil wells that he claimed were located within Egyptian regional waters, according to the borders drawn up between Egypt and Cyprus in 2003.
The state-run news agency MENA reported that initial investigations showed the claims to be untrue, and the two oil wells in question are 150 km outside of Egyptian waters.
