The Egyptian National Railways Authority has decided to run a new VIP luxury train service on the lines of Upper Egypt (Cairo – Aswan) and back to Cairo, according to authority head Ahmed Hamed.
The VIP train will operate starting December 28, Hamed said. The train will leave Cairo at 00:30 and reach Aswan in the morning. It will leave Aswan back to Cairo at 21:40 to reach Cairo the next morning.
The train will stop in Giza, Maghagha, Malawy in Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena and Luxor, according to Hamed.
The route of VIP rain number 2008 will be changed, according to the Railway authority. The train will leave Alexandria at 20:00 heading to Aswan. It will stop at Damanhur, Tanta, Banha and Cairo.
