Saudi aircraft makes emergency landing in Cairo

A Saudi aircraft carrying 294 passengers was forced to land Tuesday at Cairo International airport after its left engine broke down.

The plane broke down while flying over Egypt on its way to New York. The pilot called for the emergency landing after noticing the engine failure.

Fire engines and ambulances prepared near the runway allocated for the aircraft to land on.

The pilot landed safely. Technicians fixed the problem and the flight resumed.
