Sharm el-Sheikh, Hurghada and Borg al-Arab airports had their ISO 9001/2015 accreditation renewed for three years, following recent inspections carried out by the SGS – the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company.
The ISO 9001/2015 accreditation is for conformity to work procedures and quality of operation in accordance with international standards,
The Head of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airport and Air Navigation, Mohamed Saeed Mahrous, said it is vital that all airports and civil aviation sector facilities follow procedures and maintain quality of work permanently in order to provide the best travel experience for travelers.
This improves the reputation of Egyptian airports globally and attracts more air traffic.
An inspection tour of the Sharm el-Sheikh, Hurghada and Borg al-Arab airports – which took place over September and October – did not detect any non-conforming procedures, and renewed certificate was granted upon the first review.
