Egypt is prepared for the economic conference to be held in mid-March in Sharm el-Sheikh, said President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi during the inauguration of the Field Marshal Hussein Tantawy Mosque in the Fifth Settlement on Monday morning.
The conference is a crucial opportunity for Egypt, he added.
"Some are trying to prevent the conference from happening and we are fully aware of that. They are the enemies of life, humanity and religion. But no one will affect or shake the morale of Egyptians," Sisi said. "No one can stop the growth of Egypt."
Eighty countries have confirmed attendance to the conference, including kings, presidents and ministers, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry Badr Abdel Atty told the TV channel CBC on Sunday evening. He added that many meetings will be held on the sidelines of the conference to discuss other crucial issues.
