President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi on Friday 20/10/2023 received a phone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as they discussed the developments in the Gaza Strip.
The two leaders reviewed the ongoing moves to mobilize the international community towards a unified position to de-escalate the situation in the Palestinian enclave.
During the phone conversation, Erdogan lauded Egypt’s role in coordinating humanitarian efforts and promoting the path of peace.
In this regard, the pair reiterated their rejection of the forced displacement of Palestinians, underlining the necessity of delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Sisi and Erdogan stressed that the international community should unite its efforts to finally end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, based on the two-state solution and the resolutions of international legitimacy.
