State television employees blocked the Maspero Corniche on Sunday to protest against the failure of management to disburse their financial dues. The blockage caused a traffic jam in Tahrir and on the 6 October and 15 May bridges.
A protester cut an artery of his right hand and was taken to the hospital in a serious condition, while others assaulted four cars trying to pass through the demostration. They also threatened to prevent the rest of the employees from entering the television building, claiming the officials refused to meet with them and discuss their demands.
