Temperatures set to slightly decline across Egypt on Sunday

The Meteorological Authority has released the weather forecast and expected temperatures for Cairo and the governorates, coinciding with the final days of the Spring 2026 season.

In an unusual turn of events, temperatures are set to drop over the coming days just before the official start of summer on June 21st. This cooling trend will be accompanied by active wind patterns, which will significantly help improve the overall feel of the weather.

The weather is expected to be moderate during the early morning hours, turning intensely hot during the day across most parts of the country, and warm along the northern coasts.

By nightfall and into the early morning, conditions will become moderate across most regions, though remaining warm in Upper Egypt.

The authority emphasized that rising humidity levels will cause the felt temperature to feel 1 to 2 degrees Celsius higher than the actual recorded shade temperatures. Consequently, citizens are urged to avoid direct sunlight exposure during peak hours, drink plenty of water and fluids, and regularly follow the updated weather bulletins issued by the authority.
