Traffic diversions announced in Giza due to monorail project construction work

The Giza Governorate announced traffic diversions due to construction work for the 6th of October monorail line project, starting from the Wadi al-Nile station in Mohandessin to the industrial city in 6 October City.

The Wadi al-Nile monorail station is located on the 26th of July axis, which requires the removal of pedestrian bridges, the governorate confirmed.

The 26th of July axis will be completely closed in both directions to traffic to remove the first pedestrian bridge located in the direction coming from the 15th of May Bridge towards Lebanon Square and 6th of October City, starting from Friday.

Giza Governor Ahmed Rashid instructed the removal of any obstacles on the roads and to speed up the completion of construction work.

He noted that the Giza Traffic Department has coordinated with the executing company to prepare the traffic diversion.

 

Traffic diversions

•The direction coming from Lebanon Square and the 6 October City areas towards Zamalek Club and the 15th of May Bridge:

1- Vehicles coming from the 26th of July axis in the direction coming from Lebanon Square and heading towards the 15th of May Bridge and the Mohandessin areas, will take the road backing the 26th of July axis, which has been paved and upgraded.

2 – The vehicles will continue on the road until the exit to return again to the 26th of July axis, all the way to the 15th of May Bridge and the Mohandessin areas.

 

•Vehicles coming from Zamalek Club and the 15th of May Bridge towards Lebanon Square and the 6th of October City areas:

1 – Vehicles coming from the 26th of July axis in the direction of the 15th of May Bridge and the Mohandessin areas, heading towards Lebanon Square and the 6th of October City, will enter the road backing the 26th of July axis which has been paved and upgraded.

2 – The vehicles will continue on the road until the exit to return again to the 26th of July axis, all the way to Lebanon Square and 6th of October City.

The Giza Traffic Department, in coordination with the executing company, has installed the necessary signs on roads to guide drivers.
