Two Saudis arrested for attempting to smuggle narcotics to Riyadh

Two Saudi passengers were referred to Nozha prosecution by security authorities at Cairo International Airport after being arrested while trying to smuggle 25,000 Xanax pills onto an Egyptian plane destined for Riyadh.

The passengers attempted to smuggle the tablets by wrapping them in plastic bags around their legs.

Authorities at the airport foiled the attempt when an officer noticed swelling around the legs of the passengers, and searched them, finding the narcotic tablets.

The two passengers were Salem bin Salmin bin Omar al-Amari, 22, and Badr bin Mohamed bin Sultan al-Otaibi, 26.
