Egypt witnessed a heat wave and high temperatures at the beginning of this week, but the Egyptian Meteorological Authority announced a decrease in temperatures in the north of the country, Lower Egypt and northern Upper Egypt on Monday, to begin rapid weather fluctuations that characterize the autumn season.
Thunderstorms and torrential rains are expected in the south of the country, possibly accompanied by hail.
The Meteorological Authority added in a statement that the south of the country, the Red Sea Governorate and South Sinai may be affected by the extension of the seasonal Sudan depression, which leads to heavy rains in the mountainous areas.
On Friday, the last day of September, very hot and humid weather prevails during the day on Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the western coasts, South Sinai and the south of the country, and hot humid weather on the eastern coasts.
While meteorologists expected that hot humid weather will prevail at night.
Active wind is expected in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt at intermittent periods.
The Meteorological Authority revealed a decrease in temperatures by up to 3C starting next Monday, October 3, 2022, in the north of the country, Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt. Temperatures remain hot in southern Upper Egypt at 42C.
Waves in Mediterranean Sea will be light to moderate, with wave heights ranging from one to 1.5 meters. Surface winds will be northeast to southeasterly.
Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 to two meters high. Surface winds will be northwesterly.
