The Paris 2024 Olympic Games is scheduled to kick off on Friday, in the French capital, Paris.
Paris will host the Olympic competitions until August 11 with the participation of more than 10,000 athletes from 206 countries.
It will take place along the Seine River — the first time that the ceremony has not been held inside a stadium.

The opening ceremony will be broadcast on more than 130 television channels around the world.
BeIN Sports channels have the exclusive rights to broadcast the Paris 2024 Olympics in the Arab region, and many matches will be played in 32 different sports, including 28 core Olympic sports and 4 sports proposed by the organizing committee in Paris: skateboarding, climbing, surfing, and 3×3 basketball.
It is is set to begin at 8 pm (Cairo time).
The Egyptian delegation will participate with 164 athletes in 22 different sports, 148 main players and 16 reserve players. Ahmed El-Gendy, silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics in modern pentathlon, and Sara Samir, bronze medalist at the Rio Olympics in weightlifting, will carry the Egyptian flag at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
