Independent candidate Ahmed Shaarawy, scheduled to compete for the workers seat in the Mahalla al-Kobra, Gharbiya district, announced today his withdrawal from parliamentary runoffs after security authorities prevented his representatives access to polling stations.
Shaarawy submitted a report to the High Elections Committee and the general committee supervising elections in the district over the alleged violation.
