Labor Minister Mohamed Gobran said on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the government is committed to enforcing the rule of law and protecting workers’ rights, as his ministry conducts nationwide field inspections aimed at improving workplace safety and investment conditions.
During a new inspection tour of industrial zones in Suez, part of efforts to implement the 2025 labor law, ministry teams checked 23 factories and reported multiple violations. Inspectors filed reports against 19 facilities for failing to meet the minimum wage and issued legal warnings to 21 others over breaches of employment health and safety rules.
Authorities also identified 441 foreign workers operating without proper work permits and took action against the employers. Nineteen warnings were issued for failure to meet mandatory hiring quotas for people with disabilities, along with two additional citations for other workplace and safety violations.
