Egypt’s army, in cooperation with the Air Force, killed a high-ranking takfiri in North Sinai, and arrested 22 individuals suspected of supporting takfiri elements, as part of the troops’ continued operations in the peninsula to uproot terrorists.
The army spokesperson Tamer al-Refaei, said that the army’s ground troops, alongside the Air Force, seized communication devices and an automatic weapon from the terrorist, after killing him.
Military operations discovered and destroyed a four-wheeled vehicle used by terrorists in North Sinai, Refaei said.
The armed forces discovered and destroyed a storehouse, inside of which lay a large quantity of explosive devices.
Refaei said that security forces destroyed a large number of shelters used by takfiri elements for hiding and logistics, and the forces also destroyed materials used in manufacturing improvised explosive devices.
