Clashes broke out on Thursday outside the Arab League headquarters in Cairo between opponents and supporters of Libya’s Colonel Muammar Qadhafi. Four people were injured as the two sides threw rocks at each other while an international meeting was being held to discuss the situation in Libya.
Qadhafi opponents raised banners demanding that he be tried as a war criminal, whereas his supporters demanded that "the international community stop intervening in Libya" and that it put an end to NATO-led military operations.
The Qadhafi supporters began to withdraw as the numbers of opponents grew, giving them the upper hand in the clashes. Quiet now prevails outside the Arab League headquarters as Qadhafi opponents continue to raise banners and wave Libyan flags.
